AML/CTF,
Identity & Funds

Last updated: 29 May 2026  |  Operator: PUNT 123 PTY LTD  |  Regulator: VGCCC

PUNT 123 PTY LTD is a reporting entity under Australian anti-money laundering law. To keep wagering lawful and to protect customers, we are required to verify who you are and, in some cases, where your money comes from. This page explains what we collect, why, and what it means for you.

1. Why We Verify You

Wagering is a regulated financial activity. Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) and the subordinate Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Rules made under that Act (together, the AML/CTF framework), we must identify and verify every customer before certain transactions, monitor activity, and report to AUSTRAC where required. PUNT 123 PTY LTD complies with both the Act and the Rules in all aspects of its AML/CTF program. Verification also protects you against fraud and helps us prevent underage gambling.

2. Information We Collect (KYC)

To verify your identity we may require:

  • Full name, date of birth and residential address.
  • Government-issued photo identification (Australian driver licence or passport).
  • Additional documents where electronic verification is inconclusive (for example a recent utility bill or bank statement).

How we handle this information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

3. Source of Funds and Source of Wealth

In line with our risk-based program, we may ask you to evidence the source of your funds or wealth — for example where deposits are large, unusual, or inconsistent with known activity. This can include payslips, bank statements, or other reasonable documentation. We may limit deposits or withdrawals until satisfactory evidence is provided.

4. Ongoing Monitoring

We monitor accounts and transactions on an ongoing basis to detect activity that is unusual or inconsistent with a customer's profile. We may request further information, apply limits, or suspend an account where we identify a risk.

5. Politically Exposed Persons & Sanctions

We screen customers against sanctions lists and assess whether a customer is a politically exposed person (PEP). Enhanced checks apply in these cases. We will not provide services where doing so would breach Australian sanctions law.

6. Reporting Obligations

PUNT 123 PTY LTD is enrolled with AUSTRAC (the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre) as a reporting entity. We submit required statutory reports — including Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) and Threshold Transaction Reports (TTRs) — through AUSTRAC Online, the regulator's secure reporting portal. We are not permitted to tell you if a report about your activity has been made (“tipping off” is prohibited by law).

7. If We Cannot Verify You

If we are unable to verify your identity or obtain information we reasonably require, we may be legally obliged to suspend or close your account and withhold withdrawals until our obligations are met. We will return any verified, lawful balance in accordance with our Account Closure & Withdrawals policy.

8. Record Keeping

We retain identification and transaction records for a minimum of seven years after your account is closed, as required by Australian law. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
